Diversity at Ogiatot

Ally is not a noun.
It’s a verb.

And this page isn’t just words. It’s our action plan to build a culture where difference is valued.

Ogiatot and Aux Creative are committed to diversity and to equal opportunity employment.

DIVERSITY

Black
Community

Allyship with our Black team members is a process and journey that is extremely important to Ogiatot and Aux Creative. Our Allyship is a path to building trust, understanding, consistency and accountability for all Ogiatot and Aux Creative in support of our Black team members. Allyship is a crucial part of our fabric.

Black men and women in our country have been systematically oppressed for hundreds of years. For White and non-Black people of color, it is impossible to truly comprehend how that oppression has shaped the Black experience in this country. From microaggressions like a woman clutching her purse when approaching a Black man to the deaths of Black people at the hands of police are examples of how this manifest itself.

As a company we are taking a stand to acknowledge the difficulty of living in this state of oppression. We are taking a stand to learn and to listen and to do all in our power to change the Black experience in our company, our industry, and our country.

To start our allyship journey, Ogiatot and Aux Creative have adopted King County Equity Now providing them with guidance and resources to expand their brand. We have also donated to the Seattle Black Lives Matter Chapter, National Police Accountability Project, and Seattle Change Coalition. We will continue to find and fund these organizations of change.
